For the Epson 7500 and Ultra Tone B&W ("UT") inkset, I use the 7000 driver. The ink monitor does not work, but
the driver appears to allow better curves and is generally compatible. This is why the names usually start
with UT75-7k...
The curves are for EEM. However, there are also curves for Epson "UltraSmooth" that contain the letters
"EUS." This paper has been release as the Epson Scrapbook paper and is the same as PremierArt Fine Art
Hot Press.
The basic curves are the warm and neutral. The C+2 and C+4 are cold by 0.02 and 0.04 density units.
I use them mostly for split tones, and they may be less refined than the basic curves.
The critical settings in the 7000 driver are "Photo Paper" and "No Color Adjustment."
Adobe RGB (1998) is used.
The usual variable-tone/mix workflow is used -- edit in gray scale, convert to RGB, apply a tone curve,
and print through the Epson driver.
