The MIS Archival Inks were tested by RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) in 1999. The charts that
follow are the results of this testing. The inks were tested on two papers, Somerset Velvet (SV) and
MIS GP170 Glossy (170). The red line is SV and the blue line is GP170. The test was stopped when the
yellow ink reached it's endpoint at 49 years on the Somerset Velvet.
Note: Since these tests were completed, we have re-engineered the yellow ink. It now has a permanence
5 times greater than what is shown here. We are in the process of having a second round of permanence
testing completed.
