Check out this new print media paper. Its a Glow in the Dark Heat Transfer Paper - GLO-JET that you simply Iron On. A Heat Transfer Press is recommended. You pick the image, print it on our new GLO-JET Transfer Paper, and using a Heat Press, apply it to the T-Shirt. Once the the T-Shirt with the image has been exposed to light you simply turn off the lights and watch it glow. It really is easy to do.

We received a lot of requests for flourescent inks, or glow in the dark inks, anything that would offer a solution for this type of print demand, and this is a great answer to all of the inquiries.

This paper is really amazing, it works great with our Perpetual Archival ink as well as our new HT-Ink (Heat Transfer Ink) mentioned in this newsletter. It can be used on both dark and light fabrics and will still show the amazing Glow in the Dark effect when the lights go out.

The photos of the T-Shirts on the right show the image in normal light (top). Then, with a flip of the switch the image Glows in the Dark as in the photo of the T-Shirt just to the right (bottom). It really is tough to show this transition with a digital camera, but you will be surprized at how easy it is to make your own Glow in the Dark T-Shirt, Hats, and other items.

Paul Roark has found a new unique approach to black and white printing on K3 printers with a simple change of only one cartridge, by using our K4 color ink set and only changing the yellow position. Silver print quality can be produced with this set up when using Museo Silver Rag paper. This is accomplished by using our K4 inkset and the new pure light-carbon ink in the yellow position to significantly reduce the amount of color used. With this PCY (Pure Carbon Yellow) configuration you can still make great color prints then change to fabulous Black and White printing by changing the yellow cartridge position.

The Epson K3 color inks with LK and LLK will make a nice looking B & W print, however, a significant amount of color ink is used. The, non carbon, color Epson K3 inks will fade faster than the pure carbon MIS black inks. Thus, the K3 B & W prints will not have sufficient fade resistance. The Epson K3 yellow inks are 70 year (Wilhelm years) at best, where the pure carbon MIS black inks are 200+ year inks. We suggest you use all of the MIS K4 inks in the K3 printers for best results on both color and black & white prints.

This is an EZ workflow, just use the Epson driver, no RIPS or Photoshop curves required. Adjustments can be made using the sliders on the Epson print driver.

This new inkset has some colors that have been formulated to have a higher resistence to sublimation, a higher water resistence after application and the broadest color gamut available in a heat transfer ink set. No profile is required with Epson ultrachrome printers.

This ink works great with our Glow in the Dark Transfer paper, as well as T-Jet and O-Jet transfer papers. We believe this to be a better ink then our current and very popular Perpetual Arrchival ink, often used for Heat Transfers. Give it try and let us know what you think, we're sure you'll like it.

At last, after market refillable cartridges for the new Epson printers, the 4800, 7800 and 9800. These cartridges are similar to our refillable aftermarket cartridges for the 7600 and 9600. They are not clear like the Funnel Fills. These cartridges require a syringe and bottom fill adapter.

Epson has released a new set of OEM profiles. The latest version is P.I.M. v2.2 (Print Image Matching) Some of our customers prefer the use of the Epson profile compared to the free ones or those provided by some of the many paper manufacturers. We have not tested many of these but the ones we have used work well. Here is the link to the Epson web page where the new profiles can be downloaded, click here. You need to click on Drivers & Support, select Inkjet, then your printer model, and then the corresponding operating system. Once you get to the Epson downlosd page, look for teh new profile set mentioned above.

We frequently have customers contact us asking about waterproof inks or waterproof papers. Inkjet printers use a waterbase ink, and as such they are inherently NOT waterproof. But this paper is simply amazing. The link below will show a short video of the Via Stone paper and even with dyebase inks, reveals an amazing resistance to water. With pigmented inks there is virtually no bleeding.
