Refill Instructions For HP C5011D, C5010A (C5011DN, C5010AN / HP 14) Inkjet Cartridges

Remove label from top of cartridge.
Attach needle to syringe, extract old ink from each color, and discard.
For C5010A/5010AN color cartridge, select a clor to work with. Tape over the other two holes. This is so you do not get accidental color contamination.
Load syringe with appropriate ink.
Set the cartridge on news paper or paper towel so the print head is in contact with the paper.
Insert needle into correct cartridge ink hole as labled in picture above; use center hole for black ink. Make sure needle reaches to bottom of cart.
SLOWLY inject the ink into the cartridge until full. Stop if the ink begins to well up from the fill hole.
Clean off top of cartridge, un-tape the next fill hole and tape over the one just filled. Do not re-use tape.
Repeat steps 6, 7, 8 until all colors have been injected.
Clean off the top of the cartridge. Place scotch tape over the top of the cartridge so it covers every hole. Do not cover the round circles that begin the grooves leading to the air vents. The cartridge must be vented to atmosphere or it will not work.
Chose a flat surface on which to let the cartridge settle. Place a piece of wax paper or tin foil on the surface. This is to prevent damage or discoloration of the surface from draining ink. Place a piece of paper (not paper towel) on top of the tin toil or wax paper. Make sure the surface, tin foil/wax paper, and paper are all flat. If the paper pokes into the cartrige, more than excess will drain. Let settle for an hour, or until finished draining.
Do not put a dripping cartridge in a printer.
Reinstall in printer and run one or two cleaning cycles until the cartridge begins to print correctly.

K = Black

C = Cyan

M = Magenta

Y = Yellow
