| When using MIS R800 inks, if you would like to have an improved or enhanced gloss finish on your prints,
follow this procedure.
|
| |
| 1) |
Create a "white" file using the software of your choice. Most software will ignore a white file and not print. To get around this, create the smallest image allowed and fill with a light color (a very pale yellow or gray works well) and place it in an extreme corner of the file. Then SAVE THIS FILE for future use.
|
| |
| 2) |
Make your print(s) and allow to dry ( 30min. to two hours, depending on media and conditions-----prints without heavy ink areas will require much less dry time. DO NOT get any fingerprints on the print and protect from excessive dust.
|
| |
| 3) |
Go to the printer driver advanced features
|
| |
| 4) |
Settings: premium glossy photo, photo (print quality), high speed ON, gloss ON, gloss FULL, ICM ON, ICC/ICM OFF
NOTE: The higher speeds will allow the top coat to reflood any "pizza" marks as the print dries.
|
| |
| 5) |
Insert print and set the white file to "fit to page"
|
| |
| 6) |
Print------depending on the speed and media the print may come out wet. You can slow the print by using higher print quality options or turning off the high speed option. If pizza marks do not vanish as the print dries you must use the higher speeds.
NOTE: These tests were done on Epson Premium Glossy
This is for MIS gloss optimizer only, does not work well with the Epson optimizer. It can take days to dry. Until dry it will be a wet, soft, greasy surface.
