The Hornet

We have had many requests from wide format inkjet printer users and resellers for a machine to rapidly fill inkjet cartridges. This machine does the job. It is fast, and low cost, compared to similar filling systems. This machine can fill a 110ml cartridge in 30 seconds, or a 220ml cartridge in 60 seconds.

• Size - 6" wide x 4" high x 9" deep

• Fill Volumes - 110 ml or 220 ml, adjustable from 50 to 250 ml

• Cycle Time - 30 seconds for a 110 ml cart, 60 seconds for a 220 ml cart

• The empty inkjet cartridge slides into the channel on the right side of the machine. A small clamp, holds the cartridge in place.

• A bottle of ink, of the correct color is kept adjacent to the filling machine. The tube seen in the back of the above photo, goes into the ink container. Any size ink container can be used, as long as it has enough ink to meet the current fill volume. Container can be up to 4 feet lower than the machine.

• The green Start button is pushed. Ink is pulled from the bottle and injected into the cartridge until the volume matches the setting on the front panel display. No extra ink is lost or used in the process.

• The clamp is released and the cartridge is removed. That is all there is to it.

• To change inks, a flushing fluid is used (warm water for Inksupply.com inks).

• The Hornet is set to the flush mode. Flushing fluid passes thru the machine purging out the old ink, and is captured in a waste container. Only a small amount of flushing fluid is required to clean the machine.

• The machine is then set to charge, and fresh ink is installed into the machine, displacing any air or cleaning fluid that is left. The flushing time is less than one minute. A small amount of ink (15 ml) is dispelled into the waste container to insure that there is only pure ink in the machine.

• The volume is set on the front panel and the machine is now ready to fill carts with a different color ink. For high volume applications, multiple Hornets can be used, for maximum throughput.
