The F-16 Chip Resetter for Epson Printers
(F-16 is for CFS - SK168 is for refilling) F-16 Features -
|
|
F-16 Operation -
The F-16 is for Epson printers only. It connects to the parallel connector on the printer; either directly or via an A/B box. It is ideal for printers that are using the USB port. With the USB cable connected, this leaves the parallel connector on the back of the printer open. Once the parallel cable and power plug are attached to the F-16, it is ready to run. The first time the F-16 is used, it configures itself for that model of printer. The printer sends its model number to the F-16. From this time on, the F-16 will remain configured for this model of printer. It will work on any number of printers that have this same model number. It is not serial number sensitive. If you change printers to a new model number, then we can re program your F-16 for that model, there is a $20 charge for reprogramming. If you get a new or additional printer of the same model number, no reprogramming is necessary. With the F-16 turned on, and the printer on, just press the EXECUTE button, and both chips will be reset to FULL. On most printers, you will get a one page printout telling you that the chips have been reset. If you previously ran out of ink, and the red, out of ink light is displayed on your printer, the F-16 will reset the chips. Just hold the button in until the STATUS LED b;inks, then power the printer off for 20 seconds. When you power the printer back on, the ink out light will be off, your cartridges read full again. No need to worry about red lights. For more information on how the F-16 Operates, read the Instruction Manual or read the Frequent Questions regarding the F-16. |

All F-16's come with a 6 foot parallel printer cable and power supply. If you don't
have a USB cable or need additional ports, go to our
Printer Cable & Accessories page.
If you are just refilling cartridges, we do not recommend the F-16. The SK168 is better suited to this activity. The F-16 is for use with Continuous Flow only. It works on Epson C60, 780, 820, 870, 890, 1270, 1280, 1290 and 2000P printers. We have worked hard on developing this product for the past few months. It will now allow us to offer the MIS Continuous Flow Systems for Mac owners, and we will soon post CFS units for chipped printers that have Archival Ink and Quadtone inks. We are grateful to our customers who have been patiently waiting for this product to be introduced. We no longer support or offer the Equalizer software. For customers that just want to refill and do not use Continuous Flow we offer the SK168 Universal Resetter. |
