| PREPARATION: |
| |
| 1. |
Remove BCI-61 ink tank cartridge from printer. |
| |
| 2. |
Set the cartridge on a flat surface with plenty of newspaper
underneath it. The exit ports, cyan, magenta and yellow should be pointing
up, yellow on left, magenta in center, cyan on right.
|
| |
| REFILL |
| |
| 3. |
Prepare the yellow squeeze bottle by putting the Needle cap on it. Make
sure the needle cap is tight, use O'ring supplied. Attach the pink needle
to the needle cap. |
| |
| 4. |
If you have a syringe in your kit, attach the needle and draw about 10 cc
of ink into the syringe. The 2 oz squeeze bottle holds 60 cc and the 1 oz
about 30 cc. |
| |
| 5. |
Let the ink drip onto the yellow exit port. Don't put more than 10 cc's
in the cartridge. Be careful that it does not over flow. When it has taken
all of the 10 cc or won't take anymore ink, turn the cartridge upside down,
and let any excess in drain off. Don't worry, the sponge will retain the
correct amount. After dripping stops, seal the port with black electrical
tape |
| |
| 6. |
Put away the yellow ink, clean every thing with yellow ink on it with
warm water. Set up the next bottle or syringe for the next color. |
| |
| 7. |
Repeat the above procedure for the magenta and cyan inks. Make sure you
put the right color ink in the correct exit port. Just a few drops of ink
in the wrong port and the cartridge will be worthless. |
| |
|
When you are done, you can remove the tape from each exit port.
Let the cartridge sit for at least 15 minutes in its installed position (
exit ports down) before re-installing in printer..
For storage, put a piece of black electrical tape across the exit ports.
