Color Ink Tank
Step 1:

Remove the cartridge from the printer.

Step 2:

Put the color ink tank in a vise and grab the top with a pair of pliers or vise grips. Rock the top back an forth until it comes loose.

Step 3:

Use the yellow drill to enlarge the vent hole in each chamber as shown on the right. The vent holes are the smallest.

Step 4:

Insert the o'ring into the needle cap, then attach the needle cap and needle to the squeeze bottle. If you have a syringe, attach the needle and fill the syringe.

Step 5:

Insert the needle into the sponge as deep as it will go and then back off 1/8". Hold the cartridge over a cup or paper towel, some ink will drip out of the exit port. Slowly inject about 3 cc of ink into the cartridge. Watch for ink to well up around needle. Pull needle out and re-insert. Do not over fill or allow ink to reach the other fill holes.

Step 6:

Repeat this procedure for the other colors. Be careful to get the right color ink in the correct hole. If you have a syringe, wash it out with warm water before going to the next color.

Step 7:

Tape the top back on. Don't block or plug the fill holes. Set the filled cartridge in a paper or Styrofoam cup for 15 minutes before reinstalling in printer. It may drip slightly.

 
Black Ink Tank
Step 1:

Remove the cartridge from the printer. Remove the top as in step 2 for the color tank.

Step 2:

Use the yellow drill and enlarge the air vent hole. See photo in center.

Step 3:

Insert the o'ring into the needle cap, then attach the needle cap and needle to the black ink bottle. If you have a syringe, attach the needle and fill the syringe with black ink.

Step 4:

Insert the needle all the way into the cartridge, then pull back about 1/8". Hold the cartridge over a cup or paper towel, some ink will drip out of the exit port. Slowly inject about 8 cc of ink until it starts to well up around the needle. Tape the top back on. Don't block or plug the fill holes.

Step 5:

Set the filled cartridge in a paper or Styrofoam cup for 15 minutes before reinstalling in printer. It may drip slightly.
