Step 1:
Do not remove the sealing foil from the front of the cartridge.
It is needed to keep the ink in while you are refilling.
Step 2:
Load your syringe with ink. If you have the squeeze bottles,
put the needle cap on the bottle and the pink needle on the end of the stem. Make sure the
o'ring is installed inside the needle cap.
Step 3:
Hold the cartridge vertical so the fill hole is at the top and
facing you. Insert the needle into the cartridge and fill slowly. Don't fill too much, you
don't want ink to run out of the hole. See photo.

 |
Step 4:
Set the cartridge on end, foil end down, so that the fill hole
is on the front near the top. The tab should be pointing up. Let the ink you just put
in get absorbed by the felt material. It will take about 10 minutes to be absorbed.
See photo.
Step 5:
Now, finish filling the cartridge. Leave a little air space
for the plug to be inserted. The little rubber plug that came with the cartridge can now
be installed. It is tapered and flat on one end and the other end has an indentation in
it. Put the flat end, with the small taper in the hole first. You can use a ball point
pen to get it started. Then use your fingers to firmly seat the plug in the fill hole.
It must form an air tight seal or the cartridge will leak. See photo.

 |
Step 6:
If you see a section of the felt material that ink has not reached,
shake the cartridge until all sections are saturated with ink.
Step 7:
Remove the foil. Make sure the cartridge is not dripping.
The exposed felt should be saturated with ink. Hold the cartridge in its installed position
for a few moments to let any residual ink drip off. Gently wipe the exposed area. Done,
you can put it in the printer and run a cleaning cycle.
Step 8:
Next time you refill you can remove the rubber plug or drill
a hole as described in the standard refill procedure.

Note:
We do not recommend filling through the exit port, nor do
we recommend pushing the ball into the cartridge, it causes leakage later on.
