Step 1:
Using black electrical tape or equivalent seal off the exit port on
the cartridge where the ink comes out and the vent hole just above it. Make sure you get a good
airtight seal. See photo.
|
 |
Step 2:
Using the Yellow Tool, drill a hole into the reservoir just under
the little handle on the opposite end from the exit port. If your cartridge has a small
indented area, drill just below it. Make sure you are going into the reservoir area and not
the sponge filled area. Alternate Method of Drilling: Instead of using our Yellow Drill, try
a heated paper clip and melt a hole through the cartridge. Heat the paper clip with a lighter.
Be careful not to burn yourself. See photo.

 |
Step 3:
Load your syringe with ink. If you have the squeeze bottles, put
the needle cap on the bottle and the pink needle on the end of the stem. Hold the cartridge at 45
degree angle with drill hole facing upward. Insert the needle into the cartridge and fill
slowly. See photo. DO NOT OVERFILL!!!
|
 |
Step 4:
When the cartridge is filled you must seal the fill
hole air tight. For best results use a drop of hot melt glue. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THIS SEAL
BE AIR TIGHT!! Electrical tape or a glossy tape will work, but it tends to come loose with time.
If it is not an air tight seal, the cartridge will drip. Smooth the drop of Hot Melt with your
finger to form a perfect airtight seal.
|
Step 5:
After filling and sealing is complete, remove the tape
from the exit port and the vent. Let the cartridge set on its side for 10 to 15 minutes so that
any excess ink will drain off. Don't let the exit port or vent come into direct contact with
any newspaper or paper towel, it will drain all the ink out of the cartridge. Clean the cartridge
and reinstall in printer.

Note:
We do not recommend filling through the exit port, nor do
we recommend pushing the ball into the cartridge, it causes leakage later on.
