Move Cartridges to the Change Position
Push the Orange button on the printer to move the cartridges to the change position. After they move the the far left, pull the power plug out of the wall. Now you will be able to move the cartridges by hand from left to right.

Installing The New Bridge Bracket
Clean the housing surface where the bracket will attach with alcohol. Clean the top edge of housing. Wipe dry with a paper towel or clean cloth. The tube clip on the bracket should be on the right side. The Bridge Bracket attaches with Velcro. Keep the 2 parts of the Velcro attached to eachother. Remove the backing from the Velcro and place the bracket 6 1/2" from the inside edge of the printer housing, as shown above. Press the bracket down firmly. When you pull the bracket away from the printer, half of the Velcro will stay on the printer and half on the bracket. Now you will be able remove and replace the bracket as needed.

Install Tubing in Bracket and Adjust the Slack
Put a little alcohol on the tubes at the position that will interface with the tube clip on the underside of the bridge bracket. Do not rotate the tubing. Slide the tubing into the tube clip attached to the underside of the bridge bracket. With the cartridges still in the far right hand position, make sure there is just a small amount of slack in the tubing, not a lot, but just enough. If you can't get the tubing into the bracket, use a little more alcohol on the tubing.

(Apply lubricant to tubes)
Move the cartridges, by hand, from far left to far right. Make sure there is sufficient slack in the tubing so that the cartridges can reach the far right and far left with out putting excess tension in the tubes. You do not want to have too much slack in the tubes. It is normal for the tubing to touch the bottom of the printer. Adjust the tube position in the bracket so the tubes just barely touch the bottom of the printer, and so the carts can reach far left and right with out the tubes stopping the motion. This is important.

With the new Bridge Bracket, the bottom of the printer chassis and the underside of the tubes must be coated with silicone lubricant. We have included a cotton pad containing the silicone lubricant. If you do not have this lubricant pad you can use WD-40 or a Silicone spray lubricant (both available at your local hardware store). Don't spray into the printer, put it on a cloth or paper towel. Wipe the silicone on the inside metal base or chassis (in the center) and on the bottom of the ink tubes. When the tubes touch the metal part of the printer, they will slide and not stick. This is important.

If you do not already have one, install a second bracket on the far right edge of the printer. Clean the right section of the printer housing with alcohol, then install the second bracket on the right hand edge of the printer housing so the tubing is in a straight line. Put the tubing into this small bracket (use alcohol on the tubes). Now you are ready to insert the tubes into the bottles. The position of the bracket opening can be either up or down. It does not matter.

New Configuration Required
You must have the newer configuration of our CFS cartridge that has the tube clip on the top of the cartridge as shown in the photo below. If you do not have this configuration, then the new Bridge Bracket will not work properly.

Move Cartridges to Far Right
When you are satisfied that the installation is complete, slide the cartridges by hand to the far right position until they can't go any further. Now it is safe to plug the printer power back in and start using the printer.

870/890 Printers
The Bridge Bracket installation for the 870/890 Printers is almost identical. The printer is smaller and the bracket is smaller. Install the bracket 4 3/8 inch from the right inside edge of the housing as shown in the photo below. Everything else is the same as above.
